Obituary of Kitty Chen

Kitty ChenA celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Laurelwood Golf Course in Eugene for Kitty W. Chen of Eugene, who died Jan. 24 of cancer. She was 62. Private inurnment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.She was born April 21, 1947, in Nanking, China, to Phing and Ying Hu Wei. She married Michael Chen in 1971, in Taipei, Taiwan.She graduated from Ming Chung University in Taiwan.She owned and operated the House of Chen Restaurant on Franklin Boulevard in Eugene from 1986 to 1999.Survivors include her husband; a son, Sam of Eugene; and two sisters, Betty Tang and Mary Wei, both of Taipei.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
