Obituary of Helga Smith

JUNCTION CITY — Helga Mary Rafoth Smith of Junction City died Feb. 16 of age-related causes. She was 94. A memorial service is planned for the future.She was born July 20, 1915, in Battle Creek, Iowa, to John and Matilda Moelby Jakobsen. She married Clinton Smith on Oct. 19, 1934, in Junction City. She married Glenn Rofoth on Sept. 4, 1983, in Junction City.She was a homemaker and later worked as shipping manager for Eugene School District for five years.Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Smith of Lebanon and David Smith of Colville, Wash.; a daughter, Linda Breen of Billings, Mont.; a stepson, Steven Rafoth of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Rafoth of San Francisco; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. A son, Ronald Smith, died in 1959.Burial will be at Danish Cemetery in Junction City. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
