Obituary of Donald Shaw

Donald ShawDonald “Don” Shaw of Eugene died Feb. 20 of Alzheimer’s disease. He was 82. No service is planned.He was born April 1, 1927, in New York, to Samuel and Sophie Zimmerman Zinman. He married Barbara Brady on Jan. 8, 1950, in New York.He graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.He worked at Uniform Maintenance Co., in New York, and at the Literary Lion Book Store, Snap-On Tools and The Mac Store, all in Eugene.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lorraine Shaw-Cooke of Eastcher, N.Y., and Vicki Shaw of Eugene; two sons, Stephen Shaw of Bend and David Shaw of Marietta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the Emerald City Jazz Kings or the Alzheimer’s Association.
