Obituary of Roland Luxford

Roland LuxfordThe funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Musgrove Family Mortuary for Roland D. “Lux” Luxford of Eugene, who died Feb. 18 of lung cancer at age 73. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today, Feb. 21, and also from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.He was born Aug. 1, 1936, in York, Neb., to Michael and Elenor Aden Luxford. He married Carol J. Barrow on March 21, 1969, in Eugene.He attended South Eugene High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the wood products industry for 42 years, at Trus-Joist and at Weyerhaeuser.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Teresa Squaglia of Castro Valley, Calif., Cathryn Treadway of Eugene and Janelle Kruusi of Mount Shasta, Calif.; two brothers, Dennis of Veneta and Robert of Eugene; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Lori Beth Montoya, and a son, Franklin Roy Loe, died previously.Remembrances to Cascade Health Solutions Hospice Services.
