Obituary of Elva Smith

Elva R. Smith passed away Sunday, February 21 in Salem, Oregon. She was 92 years old. Elva was born to Arthur and Callie (Smith) Brabham on September 23, 1917 in Pleasant Hill, Oregon. Elva married Clair L. Smith on March 21, 1939 in Eugene. She attended Oregon Normal School, now Western Oregon University. She was an Elemetary school teacher for 35 years in the Eugene area.Elva is survived by her son, Wayne (Mary Ann) Smith of Salem, Oregon.; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Smith of Gresham, Oregon; and her brother, Ray Brabham of Eugene, Oregon; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clair; her son, Ben; and 4 siblings.A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 25 at Musgrove Family Center, Eugene, Oregon, with a reception to follow.
