Don BetzCRESWELL — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, at Creswell Faith Center for Don R. Betz of Creswell, who died Feb. 28 of renal failure. He was 84.He was born Dec. 17, 1925, in Grand Island, Neb., to Adolph and Ruth Fairbanks Betz.He married Katherine Ester on Jan. 18, 1974, in Eugene.He graduated from high school in Nebraska prior to joining the U.S. Navy. He served during World Was II. He was the owner of Mr. Fish & Chips in Eugene and was retired from Betz Chevrolet Pontiac Oldsmobile in Cottage Grove.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Theresa Collucci of Hyannis, Mass.; a sister, Charlotte Royster of California; and two grandchildren.Burial will be at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery.
