Obituary of Ettie Kent

JUNCTION CITY — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City for Ettie May Gurney Kent of Junction City, who died March 8 of age-related causes. She was 82. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.She was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Stone, Idaho, to Edgar and Eathel Goss Gurney. She married Marion Kent on Dec. 12, 1947, in Nevada. He died June 19, 1995.She graduated from Junction City High School. She was a mother and homemaker and a seasonal worker.Survivors include two daughters, Arliene Thompson of Elgin and Viola Hoffman of Junction City; a son, Kenneth of Junction City; a brother, Dick Gurney of Prineville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A son and a granddaughter died previously.Burial will follow the funeral at Franklin Cemetery in Cheshire.
