The first time we met I knew we will get along . He is sweet. We laugh a lot , we cried a little and he enjoyed talking about his family. He listened to my stories, problems and we share jokes, he would explain most of it as I don’t understand . Lastly before he passed, he told me how he missed me he loves me. I was able to tell him the same. Rest In Peace my friend. I love you

What a beautiful statement about the life of Irwin Gershow. I loved learning that Irwin grew up helping in his parents' grocery store. (My mother's parents also had a grocery store. First they lived in the back of the store, and later they bought the house next door.) I loved learning about his art and many lives. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Irwin in 1972 when we both worked at children's Center in Detroit. I moved to Pennsylvania and we lost contact until he reconnected with me a few years ago. I always felt like he was my big brother and I loved and respected him. I would imitate Bette Midler and he would howl. I delighted in calling him "dahling." Rest in peace, dear Irwin. Condolences to Miriam and Rebecca. " Take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night...." Romeo and Juliet

I knew Irwin during my time in Palm Springs, CA between 1998 and 2007. I remember the many wonderful conversations while walking with him on the daily morning walks among the Palm Springs Front Runners and Walkers. My regards to his family and for this notice. I think back after leaving the Palm Springs Front Runners and Walkers about all my good friends, which includes Irwin, where are we all now?
