Obituary of Herbert Banker

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Herbert Lee Banker of Veneta, who died March 3 of cancer. He was 68.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.He was born April 12, 1941, in Vancouver, Wash., to Harvey and Hilda Coleman Banker.Banker worked for 34 years as a lathe operator at Towes Veneer and Plywood, which became Georgia Pacific.Survivors include two daughters, Georgette Banker of Vancouver, Wash., and Shannon Banker of Wrangell, Alaska; two sisters, Suzie Mink of Raymond, Wash., and Phylis Bitner of Louisiana; three brothers, Harvey of Eugene, Tim of Veneta and Chuck of Monroe; and five grandchildren.Burial will follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
