Obituary of William Coleman

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Westside Baptist Church in Eugene for William Tarter “Bill” Coleman of Eugene, who died March 14 of age-related causes. He was 76. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.He was born March 20, 1933, in Whiteburg, Tenn., to Frank and Dortha Coleman.He was married to Emma Bell Dean on February 9th 1957 Emma had 4 daughters Karen,Judith,Jayne & Jacqueline & a son George Anderson. Together they raised them and had two more sons Paul Coleman & William Coleman Jr. He also had 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.He than married Betty Dinnell in 1985 in South Gate, Calif.Coleman served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1961 during the Korean conflict. After his tour of duty He worked as a tool coordinator for an Aerospace company for 43 years.A reception will follow the memorial service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lane Memorial Gardens.Remembrances to the Coleman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
