Marie IwanowskiCOTTAGE GROVE — A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon March 20 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Cottage Grove for Marie E. Iwanowski of Cottage Grove, who died March 4 at age 96. The family chose not to list the cause of death.She was born July 2, 1913, in Maarheeze, the Netherlands, to Hendrikus and Catharina Van Weyn Van Ekert. She married Joseph Iwanowski on May 20, 1949, in the Netherlands.She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; a son, John Simmers of Oceanside, Calif.; two daughters, Maria Malaczko of Arcadia, Calif., and Helma Olsen of Cottage Grove; four sisters, Frances Scummelketl of Canada, Liesbeth Van Veenen and Catherine Geeris, both of the Netherlands, and Anne Jelsma of Luxemburg; a brother, Henk Van Ekert of the Netherlands; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Inurnment will be in the memorial garden at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Cottage Grove.
