Obituary of Betty Vaughn

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Betty Louise Vaughn of Springfield, who died April 14 of age-related causes. She was 87.Burial will be at 1 p.m. April 19 at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.She was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Lorane to William and Hattie Skelton Mitchell. She married Robert Vaughn in February 1975, in Vancouver, Wash.She graduated from Lorane High School. She was a lumber secretary for her entire working career.Survivors include her husband; three stepdaughters, Carla Powell of Washougal, Wash., Teri Mathisen of Eugene and LaWana Lee of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two brothers, William of Lorane and Boyd of Grand Junction, Colo.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Remembrances to American Alzheimer’s Association.
