Obituary of Kathleen Thomsen

Kathleen ThomsenA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eugene for Kathleen Thomsen of Eugene, who died April 12 of age-related causes. She was 93.She was born Dec. 12, 1916, in London to Henry and Violet Hotham Bend. She married Fred Thomsen on Sept. 10, 1955, in England.She served in the English Army during World War II, from 1938 to 1946, in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. She worked as a stenographer, first for the Canadian National Railroad and, after moving to the United States, for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring after 25 years of service.Survivors include her husband.Inurnment will be in Harlev, Denmark. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
