Gordon BenbrookGordon Loman Benbrook of Eugene died April 21 of pneumonia. He was 92. A memorial service is planned for a later date.He was born March 24, 1918, in Grover, Colo., to Gordon and Lula Lindsay Benbrook. He married Evelyn Elizabeth Patterson in 1940 in Denver. She died in 1999. He married Ann Baumann on Nov. 7, 2003, in Eugene.He graduated from high school in Boise, Idaho, and attended Boise Junior College. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a sonarman on the USS Whitman. After his discharge from the Navy in 1945, he worked for Blind Industries of California and Genistron Electrical. He then established a custom framing and picture gallery in Culver City, Calif., and Rohnert Park, Calif., which he operated until his retirement.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judith Benbrook of Willits, Calif., and Sandra Kissig of San Francisco; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.A grandson, Scott Kissig, died previously.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
