Obituary of Virginia Hassler

Virginia HasslerLEABURG — The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Virginia Hassler of Leaburg, who died April 15 of a stroke at age 75.She was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Everett, Wash., to Oden and Hannah Nixon Anderson. Her life partner for the past 14 years was Don Dill.She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1978. She worked for 20 years in the Oregon State Children’s Services Division.Survivors include a daughter, Anna Powell of Springfield; three sons, Edward Ebbesen and Michael Ebbesen, both of Leaburg, and Ben Ebbesen of Bellingham, Wash.; a sister, Deena Fotta of Eugene; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three former spouses, Edwin Ebbesen, Ross Barton and Alfred Hassler, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
