Obituary of Rick Kerby

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, in the Chase Gardens Apartments community hall in Eugene for Rick Lane Kerby of Corvallis, formerly of Lane County, who died April 15 of cancer. He was 51.He was born March 2, 1959, in San Jose, Calif. He married Gaberial Wike. They later divorced.Kerby served in the Army. He attended the plumbing program at Lane Community College and worked as a plumber.Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Kerby of Stuttgart, Germany; his mother, Carolyn Watson Hill, and stepfather, Dean Hill, of Eugene; his father and stepmother, Floyd and Josephine Kerby of Cottonwood, Calif.; two brothers, Walt Kerby of San Jose and Matthew Hill of Eugene; five sisters, Michelle Hill, Alisha Hill and Samantha Hill, all of Eugene, Sabrina Kerby of Cottonwood and Sunday Tatlock of Palocedro, Calif.; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene.
