Obituary of Mary Ehinger

Mary EhingerThe funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene for Mary Ellen Ehinger of Eugene, who died April 23 of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 85.She was born March 24, 1925, in Cincinnati to Harold and Gertrude Leisure Imbus. She married Paul Ehinger on Jan. 3, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio.She held a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Michigan. She worked as treasurer of the Lane County Historical Society and for the Assistance League of Eugene.Survivors include her husband; two sons, Paul Jr. of Portland and David of Boise; a daughter, Suzanne Gove of Seattle; two brothers, Harold Imbus of Greensboro, N.C., and Donald Imbus of Ave Maria, Fla.; a sister, Susan Martin of Wilmington, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Diane Karsh, died in 1989.Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
