Obituary of Loren Knight

WALTON — The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City for Loren Glenn Knight of Walton, who died April 24 of complications from diabetes, heart disease, multiple myeloma and shingles. He was 70.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.He was born Oct. 30, 1939, in Eugene to Vancel and Bernice Ensign Knight. He married Wilma Scott-Selby on Oct. 30, 1976, in Brownsville.Knight served in the Army in 1960. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service at McKenzie Bridge, for the Lane County Sheriff’s Department and for the U.S. Postal Service. He completed managerial training at Albertsons.Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Clyde Selby of Texas and Curtis Selby of Soldotna, Alaska; a stepdaughter, Caroline Tuck of Texas; a sister, Phyllis Griffith of Madras; a brother, Gordon of Bend; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A stepson, Charley Selby, died previously.Burial will be at Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg.
