Obituary of Della Gibbs

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Della Mae Gibbs of Eugene, who died April 26 of age-related causes. She was 89.She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Sublett, Idaho, to William and Eliza Horn Adams. She married Willard Gibbs on Feb. 28, 1947, in Elko, Nev. He died in 1993.She was a homemaker.Survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Spencer of Manassas, Va., Carol Edwards of Hebo, Renee Charleston of Colfax, Calif., and Nancy Grove of Eugene; a son, Larry of Eugene; two sisters, Myrtle Wright of Ogden, Utah, and Faye Merrell of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren. A daughter, Joann Gibbs, died previously.Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Strings of Compassion or Hospice of Sacred Heart.
