Obituary of Frankie Powell

HARRISBURG — The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, at Harrisburg Christian Church for Frankie Lynch Powell of Harrisburg, who died April 29 of age-related causes. She was 85.She was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Harrisburg to Frank and Mattie Williams Lynch. She married Rodney Powell on Jan. 1, 1953, in Galloway, Ohio. He died on Feb. 14, 2008.She graduated from Modern Beauty College in Eugene in 1942. Before her marriage, she worked a beautician in Oregon, California and Alaska.Survivors include two sons, Cary of Harrisburg and Lynn of Hillsboro; a daughter, Rhonda Turner of Eugene; and five grandchildren.Burial will follow the service at Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg.
