Obituary of Georgina Libby

Georgina Scott “Ina” Libby of Veneta died May 7 of age-related causes. She was 90. Burial will be Friday at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills, Calif.She was born April 5, 1920, in Calgary, Alberta, to David and Anne Downie Scott.She graduated from Los Angeles Community College and Queen of Angeles Nursing School. She served as a lieutenant and nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. She served from 1950 to 1958 in the U.S. Army Air Force Reserve. She worked as a registered nurse and director of nurses.Survivors include a daughter, Missy Clark of Veneta; a son, Norman Scott of Eugene; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
