Adelgesa ChereckA celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Willamette Oaks Retirement Community for Adelgesa “Jean” Chereck, who died May 18 of age-related causes at age 91.She was born April 25, 1919, in Ambridge, Pa., to Rocco and Carmella Bombiani Evangelisti. She married Herbert A. Chereck on Nov. 27, 1943, in Pittsburgh. He died Oct. 29, 1999.She graduated from Ambridge High School in 1936. She was an admissions evaluator at Kent State University from 1970 to 1985.Survivors include two sons, Herbert of Eugene and Robert of Dallas, Texas, and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to FOOD for Lane County.
