Obituary of Clifford Adams

Clifford AdamsA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Clifford Edmund Adams of Eugene, who died May 16 of age-related causes. He was 92.He was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Edmond, Kan., to Robert and Lillian Sager Adams.He married Yvonne “Johnnie” Roberts on Aug. 22, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark. She died Oct. 21, 1982.He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1940 to 1945, operating radio equipment on a B24 and manned guns in combat over Italy.He worked as a purchasing agent for Myrmo’s for 33 years.Survivors include two sons, James of Yacolt, Wash., and Michael of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Beverley Moore of Hillsboro and Gail Ellerbe of Statesville, N.C.; two sisters, Doris Mizell of Norton, Kan., and Arlene Foss of Edmond, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.A grandson, Michael Adams, died previously.
