Obituary of Charles Gross

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Valley River Baptist Church in Eugene for Charles Gross of Eugene, who died May 20 of age-related causes. He was 95.He was born May 29, 1914, in Rockland, Maine, to Eugene and Mamie Ryan Gross. He married Dorothea Merriam on Dec. 20, 1938, in Rockland.He worked as supervisor at Washington Inventory Service for 31 years and in bakery product delivery.Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Carolyn Lipska of Eugene, Marion Wherry of Bothell, Wash., Cynthia Hall of Springfield and Patricia Mauldin of Roaring River, N.C.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A grandchild, Michelle Wherry, died previously.Burial will be at 11 a.m. today at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
