Arthur WattersCLACKAMAS — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Eugene First Christian Church for Arthur J. “Art” Watters of Clackamas, who died May 17 of age-related causes. He was 87.He was born March 21, 1923, in Stayton to Edgar and Maude McGregor Watters. He married Ruth McLaughlin on Sept. 15, 1944, in Stayton.He graduated from Northwest Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in theology in 1947. He owned and operated beauty salons and beauty schools in Oregon with his wife, including A’Art College of Beauty and the Springfield College of Beauty. He retired in 1997.Survivors include his wife; four sons, Larry of Eugene, Gregory of Roseburg, Michael of Bellingham, Wash., and Stanley of Happy Valley; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
