Emil WestbrookThe memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 18, at Eugene First Nazarene Church for Emil “Chip” Westbrook of Eugene, who died June 13 of a heart attack. He was 68.Westbrook was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Suplee. He married Linnea “Kathleen” Taylor on June 17, 1965, in Nampa, Idaho.He was a sheep herder and surveyor and topographic map maker. He led survey crews to the North Pole.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Elissa Westbrook Smith of Maple Shade, N.J., Heidi Meyer of Lebanon and Carlan Kephart of Oregon; three brothers, Paul of Cambridge, Idaho, Jessie of Union and John of Meridian, Idaho; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
