Obituary of Robert Beaver

Robert BeaverA celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Norkenzie Christian Church in Eugene for Robert “Bubble Bob” Beaver of Eugene and Oakridge, who died June 8 of age-related causes. He was 78.He was born April 7, 1932, in Burt County, Neb., to Richard and Flora McCartney Beaver. He married Rita Skarsten in 1960 in Oregon. They divorced, and she died in 1993.He attended Oregon State University in Corvallis, studying psychology. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954 and was stationed in Alaska. He worked as a machinist in Roseburg and North Bend.Survivors include three sons, Robert “Rick” of Eugene, Joshua of Coquille and Jason of Pendleton; his life partner of 29 years, Pat Snyder of Eugene; and five grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
