Evelyn BartelEvelyn Bartel of Eugene died June 9 of age-related causes at age 91. No service is planned.She was born April 28, 1919, in St. Paul, Minn., to Reine and Clara Roch Boelter. She married Roland Bartel on March 17, 1985, in Eugene.She graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia University. She was a kindergarten and elementary school teacher.Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Spizizen of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepson, David of Eugene; and two grandchildren.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
