Obituary of Stella Crossland

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Stella M. Crossland of Springfield, who died June 9 of age-related causes. She was 85.She was born June 28, 1924, in Gillham, Ark., to Charles and Bertha Mize Durham. She married Earl Crossland on June 12, 1947, in Paris, Texas. He died July 27, 1998.She worked at Tinker Airfield in Moore, Okla., and Conoco Oil Company in Ponca City, Okla., during World War II.Survivors include two daughters, JoEvelyn Keefauver of Springfield and Vickie Kennedy of Burney, Calif.; a son, Don of Coos Bay; a sister, Lucille Cox of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
