Ronald MeierVENETA — A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Masonic Center Eugene Lodge for Ronald Peter Meier of Veneta, who died May 29 of emphysema. He was 70.Inurnment will be at Rest Lawn Cemetery in Junction City.He was born Dec. 30, 1939, in Perry, Iowa, to Harold and Laura Carbaugh Meier.He was a car body and fender repairman.Survivors include two sons, Gary of Veneta and Herman of Elmira; two daughters, Ronda Meier of Veneta and Laura Black of Portland; four stepdaughters, Kerry Daggs of Veneta, Julie Daggs of Roseburg, and Virgina Roberts and Minnie Winfrey of Springfield; a stepson, Loyd Daggs of Colorado; two brothers, Lonnie of Springfield and Donald of Veneta; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to American Lung Association or Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Veneta.
