Obituary of Dale Whisler

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 21, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Dale H. Whisler of Creswell, who died of age-related causes on June 11. He was 92. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.He was born May 5, 1918, in Centralia, Wash., to John and Mable MacManee Whisler. He married Lillie May Workman on July 10, 1947, in Mossyrock, Wash.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned a trucking business, worked for Georgia Pacific and worked at Lane Community College.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joanne McKinney and Linda Mackey, both of Creswell; two sons, Charles of Drain and Galen of Mancos, Colo.; a sister, Nina Reagan of Glendale, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
