Obituary of Robert Ray
Robert RayA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 24 at First Baptist Church of Eugene for Robert Lewis “Bob” Ray II of Eugene, who died May 22 of unknown causes. He was 63.He was born Nov. 9, 1946, in Portland, to Robert and Phyllis Fincham Ray.He graduated from Bandon High School in 1964 and attended Oregon State University. He later attended Chemeketa Community College. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War as a hospital corpsman II. He worked as a registered nurse in Salem at Sacred Heart Hospital and later provided private nursing assistance.Survivors include his mother, now of Eugene; a son, Robert of McMinnville; a daughter, Lisa Ray of McMinnville; a sister, Marti Mills of Eugene; two brothers, Chris of McMinnville and Steve of Portland; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Camp Harlow Scholarship Program, in care of First Baptist Church.Inurnment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
