Obituary of Doris Elmblade

JUNCTION CITY — A family memorial barbecue will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at a granddaughter’s home in Albany for Doris Elmblade of Junction City, who died June 6 of age-related causes. She was 96.She was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Belvedere, Ill., to Oscar and Olga Helene Johnson. She married Magnus Elmblade on March 10, 1934, in Rockford, Ill. He died previously.She was a homemaker.Survivors include three sons, Denny of La Habra Heights, Calif., Jim of Sunriver and Dale of Veneta; a brother, Glen Johnson of Rockford; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Diane Van Aswegan, died Aug, 8, 2004.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
