Obituary of Clara Meeks

Clara MeeksA memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. June 26 at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Clara Carolyn Gwendolyn Leilani Meeks of Eugene, who died May 21 of heart failure. She was 66.She was born May 8, 1944, in Honolulu to Abel and Viola Brito Amaral. She married Jay Meeks on May 23, 1980, in Reno, Nev. He died Oct. 27, 2006.She graduated from Molokai High School. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Otsubo of Bremerton, Wash., and Niki Houlihan of Lacey, Wash.; two sons, Cory Meeks of Kent, Wash., and Nick Schrammeck of Mount Angel, Wash.; five brothers, David Rawlins of Florida, Sonny McCumber of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Wayne Rawlins, Phillip Amaral and Ernest Seibold, all of Hawaii; five sisters, Norma Pico of Kent, Wash., and Diane Tanna, Charmaine Cullen, Doreen Ah Quin and Debbie Shumacher, all of Hawaii; and eight grandchildren.
