Obituary of Mabel Rupp

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 2, at Eugene Alliance Church for Mabel Mae Rupp of Springfield, who died June 29 of age-related causes. She was 99.She was born Feb. 20, 1911, in Foreston, Minn., to George and Agnes Barker Van Slyke. She married Herbert Rupp on April 30, 1932, in St. Paul, Minn. He died Nov. 3, 2008.She graduated from St. Paul Bible Institute. She worked as a food processor at Crater Food Products and King Charles.Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Sorensen of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Wayne of Eugene and Ken of Portland; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
