Obituary of Roberta Phillips

Roberta PhillipsVisitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 2, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Roberta V. Phillips of Eugene, who died June 29 at age 98. The family chose not to list the cause of death. A memorial service is planned for a later date.She was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Moline, Ill., to Robert and Sophia Wreetman Ed. She married Chester Phillips on Nov. 15, 1948, in Pottstown, Pa. He died April 7, 1982.She graduated from Mount Allison University and studied economics in New Brunswick, Canada. She worked as a dietician and worked for a school district in Pennsylvania.Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Newman of Eugene; two sons, John of Glenmore, Pa., and Nick of Elverson, Pa.; a sister, Louise Marston of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; and six grandchildren.Remembrances to the Methodist church for missions.
