George MagoneJuris “George” Magone of Eugene died July 8 of age-related causes. He was 87. No service is planned.He was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Iecava, Latvia, to Adams and Zelma Kim Magone. He married Guna Saulitis on Feb. 28, 1943, in Riga, Latvia.He completed electrical technician school in Latvia and worked as an electrial technician for Northwest Pacific Bell for 36 years before retiring in 1985.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vija Dose of Eugene and Aija Wilson of Redding, Calif.; and two grandchildren.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.
