Clyde GreeneClyde David Greene of Eugene died July 9 of age-related causes. He was 85. A celebration of life is planned for later.He was born May 25, 1925, in Eugene to William and Anna Brown Greene. He married Evelyn Major on Aug. 20, 1946, in Eugene.He held a bachelor of science degree in geography from the University of Oregon. He served in the Army during World War II with General Patton’s 3rd Army, 4th Armored Cavalry Division in Europe. He was a certified meat cutter and operated Greene’s Meat Co. for 25 years. He worked in insurance sales for 17 years and as a driver for Kendall Auto Group for six years.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Greene Adkins of St. Marys, Ga.; a brother, Floyd of Eugene; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Carolyn Greene Hayner, died in 1994.Inurnment will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the University of Oregon baseball program, Job’s Daughters No. 26 in Eugene or Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Eugene.
