Obituary of Evan Sloan

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Thurston Grange Hall in Springfield for Evan D. Sloan of Springfield, who died July 3 of complications of diabetes. He was 69.He was born March 28, 1941, in Klamath Falls to Floyd and Velda Anderson Sloan. He married Sandra Buckingham on Nov. 6, 1965, in Klamath Falls. She died Nov. 26, 2007.He graduated from Henley High School in Klamath Falls. He worked as a route salesman and retired in 1990.Survivors include two sons, Pat of Springfield and Joe of West Linn; two sisters, Velma Klem of Klamath Falls and Iris Himelwright of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
