Obituary of Mary Ryer

JUNCTION CITY — A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at Swisshome Evangelical Church in Swisshome for Mary Lee Ryer of Junction City, who died July 3 at age 64. The family chose not to list the cause of death. A second celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the Christ Center in Junction City.She was born Feb. 22, 1946, to Leonard and Ruth Hochhalter Case. She married Howard Husted on July 3, 1969, in Springfield, Va. He died in 2003. She married Kenneth Ryer on June 25, 2005, in Triangle Lake.She graduated from high school in Kent, Wash., held a associate degree from Northern Virginia Community College and a surgical nursing degree from a school in Simi Valley, Calif. She worked as a surgical nurse at a private hospital in Los Angeles.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Koreana Husted of Florence; two step-sons, Sean Ryer of Ohio and Jason Spencer of Sacramento; two step-daughters, Stephanie Fairchild of Ohio and Brenna Ryer of North Carolina; a sister, Betty Lou Ford of Forrest Lake, Wash.; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
