Obituary of Dorothy Grubbs

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Willamette Christian Center in Eugene for Dorothy Mary Thompson Grubbs of Eugene, who died July 31 of age-related causes. She was 90.She was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Hansford County, Texas, to Robert and Nellie Moore Thompson. She married Daniel Grubbs on Oct. 23, 1938, in Hereford, Texas. He died June 3, 1999.She held an associate of arts degree. She was a pastor’s wife and worked as an assistant manager in a bookstore.Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Henson of Las Cruces, N.M., and Mary Frances and June Grubbs, both of Eugene; a son, Daniel Jr. of Eugene; two sisters, Nellie Stuard of Pittsburg, Texas, and Fern Sullivan of Elk City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
