Tyler Mosby

Obituary of Tyler Mosby

Vicki and John Mosby are grieving the loss of their son, Tyler, who left us on August 2, 2010. Tyler arrived on March 27, 1986 to the welcoming arms of family and friends and a world of love. He brought with him a gentle soul and a kind, loving spirit. Tyler lived his whole life in Eugene. He attended Evergreen Elementary, Spencer Butte, Marist, and graduated from South Eugene High School in 2004. He also attended LCC. He had a really good childhood and was such a character. His happy-go-lucky nature brought joy to everyone he encountered. Tyler would later use his love and kindness to build his own family of friends within the Eugene community. Tyler loved adventure and travel. He especially loved the outdoors. He loved the exotic nature of Florida and Hawaii and closer to home he loved the Oregon Coast, Waldo Lake, and Willamette Pass. He enjoyed snowboarding, skating, and camping with his family and friends. He loved a good campfire. Tyler was passionate about music and drawing. He'd give anything a listen - classical to hip-hop and everything in between. He could draw for hours. Tyler was diagnosed with a seizure disorder in his mid-teens. He struggled with all aspects of that seizure disorder and it ultimately claimed his life; a life we feel was cut way too short though he would probably say he "lived" his whole life. Tyler also leaves behind his sister, Lily; his grandparents: Roberta Christiansen of Iowa, John Mosby and Peggy Knapp of Missouri and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins of the Midwest and California. His absence has brought overwhelming sadness to his family and has left such a void. Pictures and memories can only begin to fill it. Contributions in Tyler's memory may be made to Food for Lane County, "The Dining Room" or the Wow Hall. Please join us in a gathering at our home at 1980 Washington St. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 2:00. All friends and those who were touched by Tyler's presence are welcome.
