Obituary of Clarence Reding

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at St. Alice Catholic Church for Clarence J. Reding of Springfield, who died Aug. 2 of age-related causes. He was 88.He was born June 7, 1922, in Osmond, Neb., to Nick and Sophia Klocke Reding. He married Fern Bahr on March 5, 1945, in Yankton, S.D.He served in the Army, and was the chief power dispatcher at Eugene Water and Electric Board.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Nick Reding of Salem and Jack Reding of Keizer; a daughter, Theresa Reuter of Puyallup, Wash.; a brother, Lawrence Reding of Carroll, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
