Obituary of Richard Kuykendall

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home for Richard “Dick” Kuykendall of Eugene, who died Aug. 11 of lung cancer. He was 88.Kuykendall was born July 25, 1922, in Yamhill to Charles and Margaret Doane Kuykendall. He married Mary Newman Mullikin on June 4, 1946, in Stevenson, Wash.He graduated from Yamhill High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was purchasing manager for Georgia Pacific for 25 years.Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Dianne Mullikin, Lynda Cline, Katee Storm and Lori Williams, all of Eugene, and Janice Yechout of Philomath; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
