Obituary of Neil Brown

Neil BrownA burial with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia for Neil Brown of Eugene, who died May 14 of age-related causes. He was 92.He was born Nov. 20, 1917, in Boulder, Colo. He married Dorothy Hink in Eugene. She died in May 1975.He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. He was a captain in the Army and fought at the Battle of the Bulge, where he received a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.Brown worked as an attorney in Eugene.Survivors include three sons, John and David, both of Eugene, and Tobias of Hong Kong; a daughter, Susan Terrell of Portland; a brother, Joseph of Eugene; a sister, Sheila Thompson of Lincoln, Neb.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
