Obituary of Clarabell Jennings

Clarabell JenningsA joint memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Eugene for Clarabell Jennings of Eugene, who died Aug. 21 of congestive heart failure. She was 82. The service is also for her daughter, Diane Jennings.She was born March 12, 1927, in Holley, Ore., to Clifford and Jenny Hamilton Rice. She married John Jennings on Oct. 13, 1946, in Holley. He died Dec. 13, 2008.She graduated from Sweet Home High School. She worked in food service for the Eugene School District as a cook and administrator.Survivors include a son, John of Redmond; a brother, Richard Rice of Sweet Home; a sister, Doreen Cookson of Salem; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Diane Jennings, died Aug. 6, 2010.Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.
