Obituary of Alice Bevers

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Alice Bertha Bevers of Veneta, who died Aug. 23 of age-related causes. She was 89.She was born March 25, 1921, in Meeker County, Minn., to Edward and Nellie Sandholt Olson.She attended high school in Litchfield, Minn. She worked as a cook, housekeeper and secretary.Survivors include a son, Lyn Waldrip of Junction City; a daughter, Fay McKinney of Eugene; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Husbands Coit Waldrip and George Bevers died previously.
