Obituary of L. Hazel MacDonald

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City for L. Hazel MacDonald of Albany, formerly of Lane County, who died Aug. 27 of age-related causes. She was 95. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.She was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Sturgeon, Mo., to James and Polly Brakebill Satterlee. She married Ira Chapman on Jan. 21, 1933, in East Alton, Ill. He died Dec. 20, 1962. She married Charles MacDonald on Dec. 16, 1968, in St. Louis. He died Oct. 11. 1972.She worked in a laundry in a St. Louis Hospital for 25 years and was a homemaker.Survivors include two brothers, Leonard Satterlee of Sublimity and Leburn Satterlee of Sweet Home; and two grandchildren. Her daughter, Charlotte Chapman-Wallace, died Nov. 16, 1977.Burial will follow the service at Monroe Cemetery.
