Wauneta Max-VeltmanWauneta Max-Veltman of Eugene died Sept. 6 of age-related causes. She was 92. No service is planned.She was born May 25, 1918, in Trumbull, Neb., to Charles and Zella Shupe Roggy. She married Larry Max on June 15, 1938, in Clay City, Neb. He died May 9, 1979. She married Carl Veltman on Jan. 29, 1980, in Reno, Nev. He died Aug. 17, 2001.She graduated from Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Neb. She was the owner of Firs Bowl and worked as a cook for Woodrow Wilson Junior High.Survivors include a son, Chuck Max of Eugene; a daughter, Deanna Cundari of Portland; a sister, Katherine McNall of Salem; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
