Obituary of Harold Rodgers

Harold F. Rodgers Jr. of Eugene, died Sept. 17 of causes related to age. He was 92. No service is planned.He was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Berkeley, Calif., to Harold and Sarah Nixon Rodgers. He married Ara Lee Grubb in October 1957 in Walnut Creek, Calif.He was a master sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II, serving from 1940 to 1945. He began working for Mobil Oil, working his way from an entry-level position to district manager before retiring in 1981.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol Groves of Bieber, Calif., and Karen Larson of Eugene; and three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.A stepson, Dean Forshee, died in 2000 and a son, Ken Rodgers, died in 2004.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene.
